An externally fed self-cleaning rotating drum screener, for separating liquids and solids, such as wastewater recovery, dewatering and/or solids separation. Similar in design to a Hycor Rotostrainer, but with a much simpler doctor-blade tensioning mechanism.
OPERATING PRINCIPLE:
- Unfiltered liquids are fed into a head tank which directs the liquid / solid slurry onto the outside of the 15 inch diameter by 22 inch long wedgewire strainer reel which has .029 inch sieve openings.
The strainer drum cylinder rotates so that any solids which stick to the outside of the drum are scraped off by a simple weight-tensioned UMHW plastic doctor blade and drop off the edge.- Meantime, the liquid is filtered through the sieve screen and discharges from through a 3 inch diameter triclamp side bottom outlet.

- Two (2) 8 inch diameter cleanout ports.
- Level Sensor.

- Food grade sanitary stainless steel construction.
- 1/2 HP drive motor turns the rotary screen.
- 208 / 230 / 460 volt 3 phase electrical input.
